Green and Gold Landscape Origins
Green and Gold Landscape is a small, local company based in Canton, Ga. We currently operate with two crews and specialize in full-service landscape design and build. We handle every aspect of outdoor construction and landscaping aside from routine grass cutting and sod maintenance. My name is Michael Guerreso, I am the owner of Green and Gold Landscape. I’ve always enjoyed using my natural creativity, passion for plants, and love of the outdoors to create spaces people can truly enjoy. My journey in the landscape industry really took off at Pike Nurseries in 2015, where I spent four years learning everything I could about plants, trees, and shrubs while working as a department head manager. While working there, I earned my Associate’s Degree in Horticulture from Chattahoochee Technical College. Wanting to continue expanding my knowledge, I attended Emory University and earned a Landscape Design Certificate. Shortly afterward, I took on a Landscape Design and Project Manager position with a landscape company, gaining hands-on experience managing projects from the initial design through installation. From there, I went on to start Green and Gold Landscape, a company focused exclusively on landscape design and build. Over the past 10+ years, I’ve combined technical horticultural knowledge with a creative eye to build outdoor spaces that don’t just look good, but feel intentional, function properly, and are designed to stand the test of time. For me, great landscaping starts with choosing healthy plants based on sunlight, mature size, texture, color, and the customer’s preferences. Hardscape construction requires the same attention to detail, with a focus on craftsmanship, longevity, proper installation, overall design flow, and aesthetics. At the end of the day, the goal is simple: to turn your property into an outdoor space you genuinely enjoy spending time in. I take great pride in what I do and never settle for anything less than exceptional. — M. Guerreso
